Philip Treacy on McQueen, Gaga and the Royals

As the designer behind the hats of Madonna, Lady Gaga, Grace Jones
and the Royals, it’s only natural that Philip Treacy has some juicy
stories to tell.

So luckily for us, the master milliner let The Review magazine into
his London atelier for a behind-the-scenes video and
interview.

Opening up about working with the late Alexander McQueen, why hats
are better than plastic surgery and what you should be wearing to
Ascot, this exclusive interview offers a unique insight into the
world of the industry’s most famous hat designer.

Plus, discover how to make an entrance this summer with fashion
tips from Paul Smith, Tinie Tempah, Dree Hemingway and more, only
in the Occasions Issue of The Review.

Theo Fennell designs necklace in honour of the Diamond Jubilee

Renowned London-based jewellery designer Theo Fennell has designed
a sparkling Horseshoe Necklace to mark the first event of the
Diamond Jubilee celebrations in June, the Investec Derby
Festival.

Designed to acknowledge the Queen’s passion for horses and
horseracing, the Horseshoe Necklace is imbued with a total of 60
diamonds, one to honour each year Her Majesty has reined. An
additional horseshoe, found at the reverse of the necklace, has
been crafted from a piece of wood taken from the iconic winner’s
enclosure at Epsom Downs Racecourse, allowing the wearer to ‘touch
wood’ if luck is required.

The winning board will come to life as it is transformed into a
Harrods window by the store’s award-winning Visual Merchandising
team, to be unveiled next month.
